Grace M. Simms

Grace M. Simms, 72, of 128 Simms Lane, Austin, PA died at Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport, PA on Tuesday night (April 3, 2018) She was born November 30, 1945 in Renovo, PA a daughter of the late Carl and Martha Coon Vroman. On July 23, 1966 in St. Mark Catholic Church, Emporium she married the late Thomas C Simms. Grace graduated from Cameron County High School. She had worked at GNK Powder Metal and earlier at Sylvania. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing bingo and baking. She is survived by a son, Andrew Simms, Austin; seven grandchildren: Erica, Marissa, Andrew "A.J.", Dalton, Tristan, Andrew & Alexis; a sister, Jean (Robert) Zuback, Emporium; and a brother, Earl Vroman, Marion, NY; In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, John P. Simms, brother, Carl Vroman, and a sister, Nanci Fragale. There will be No Visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service to be held at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Wednesday (April 11, 2018) at 11:00 AM with Father Matthew Ryan, officiating. Burial will be in the St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery, Austin, PA.
