Maxine George Obituary

Maxine M. George, 84, of 40 W. 5th St., Emporium, PA died at Pinecrest Manor, St. Marys, PA Monday (May 29, 2017) morning. She was born September 16, 1932 in Emporium, PA a daughter of the late John and Miriam Cooper McManigle. On November 11, 1955 in Emporium she married the late James George. Mrs. George graduated from Emporium High School in the class of 1950. She was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters, Sandy (H.B. Von) Hause and Debra (Gregory) Magaro, both of Emporium; four grandchildren, Jon, Zachary, Christie & McKenzie and two great grandchildren, Autumn & Titus, four sisters, Jean Dunkleberger, Emporium; Virginia (Larry) Pope, Lawrenceville, GA; Phyllis Sullivan, Emporium and Judy Mongillo, Bradford. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Miriam Cooper McManigle, husband, James George, two grandsons, Timothy Slottje & Benjamin Hause; Sister, Elaine McManigle, two Brothers, David and John "Mick" McManigle, There will be No Visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be Celebrated at St. Mark Catholic Church 235 East Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Saturday (June 3, 2017) at 10:30 AM with Rev. Paul S. Siebert, Pastor, as Celebrant. Burial will be in the Newton Cemetery, Emporium, PA Memorial. Contributions may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
