William Robert Smith

William Robert Smith, 80, of 54 Huckleberry Circle, Emporium, PA died Thursday, December 7, 2017 at his home under hospice care. He was born February 25, 1937 in Sterling Run, PA the second of three children born to the late Abner and Alma (Peg) Smith. He graduated from Emporium High School in the class of 1955. He enlisted in the United States Army ready reserve on July 12, 1955, receiving a good conduct medal, commendations as a sharpshooter rifle (M-1) and marksman (carbine) and given an honorable discharge on 7th of August 1962. He then made his way to Bellflower, California and on August 17, 1963 he married Mary M. Camillone who preceded him in death on February 24, 1993. He then married his wife of 23 years, Delores Austin Smith on January 8, 1994. In addition to his wife Delores Smith he is survived by one daughter, Christina (Mike) Briggs, Anaheim, CA; one son, Steve M. (Lisa) Smith, Bellflower, CA; two grandchildren Kyle & Mary Michael Briggs. one brother, David (Carol) Smith, Missouri and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Mary M. Camillone (2-24-1993), one sister, Ellen Slocum whom he loved very dearly. There will be No Visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at the Kersey Kingdom Hall Of Jehovah's Witness, 339 Main Street, Kersey, PA on Sunday (December 17, 2017) at 2:00 PM with Mr. Zane Keniston, Elder, officiating. Burial will be in the Huntley Cemetery, Driftwood, PA
