Anthony Lyle Yaras, 87, of 415 Sizerville Rd., Emporium died at Elk Regional Health Center, St. Marys on Monday (February 13, 2012) night.

He was born January 8, 1925 in Cleveland, Ohio a son of the late Anthony John and Elsie Federer Yaras.

He married the late Irene Pekny Yaras.

Mr. Yaras graduated from Oliver High School. He served in WWII and received a Purple Heart. He and his wife had once owned and operated the Lake View Hotel in Sinnamahoning before working at Airco Carbon where he eventually retired from.

Daughter: Sandra L. Carey, Emporium

Daughter: Cynthia, Mrs. Thomas Clark, Emporium

Daughter: Irene, Mrs. Donald Hoffman, Howell, MI

Daughter: Linda Yaras and her husband Glenn Crockett, Crosby

Daughter: Pamala, Mrs. Rick Kopp, Emporium

7 Grandchildren 7 Great Grandchildren

Brother: Cyril Yaras

There will be No Visitation. At the family request there will be no services.

I knew Tony for over 50

I knew Tony for over 50 years. I first met him at my father's auto repair business. In the past few years I would see him at the store or post office. He was an unique individual and I always enjoyed our conversations. Sadness now but you will have many fond memories. The best to your entire family. JR Murray
