Eugene E. Rebo, 78, of 196 Arch Drive, Emporium died at Elk Regional Health Center, St. Marys on Tuesday (August 7, 2012) morning.
He was born August 27, 1933 in Tyler, PA a son of the late Stephen and Suzanne Balent Rebo.
In Clearfield, PA he married Joyce Weisner, who Survives.
Mr. Rebo graduated from the former Penfield High School in the class of 1951. He served with the US Army during the Korean War from 1953-1955. He retired from GKN where he worked for many years and was a member of the Miller-Raffaele Post 6221, VFW. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, archery, bowling and especially loved gardening and giving produce away.

In addition to his wife Joyce Weisner
Daughter: Jaci Rebo, Connecticut
Daughter: Tracy VanThof, Rochester, NY
Daughter: Lisa Chmelar, Emporium
8 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandson
Preceded in Death By
Parents: Stephen and Suzanne Balent Rebo
Daughter: Susan Rebo
 
Visitation will be at the Barnett Funeral Home on Thursday from 6-8 PM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at the St. Mark Catholic Church
235 East Fourth Street, Emporium on Friday (August 10, 2012) at 10:30 AM with Rev. Paul S. Siebert, Pastor, as Celebrant.
A Military Service will be accorded by the Cameron County Memorial Detail.
Burial will be in the St. Mark Catholic Cemetery, Emporium.
Memorial Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Cameron Unit, P.O. Box 62, 135 W. Fourth St., Emporium, PA 15834

I wanted to offer my condolences to the entire Rebo family after hearing about the loss of Gene, whom I remember from when I was just a youngster. He was a wonderful man who would have done just about anything for anyone. You all have been very fortunate to have had him for so many years and now the Lord is the fortunate one to have him. No more suffering. Just memories of a great man, husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who were fortunate enough to know him. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
