Katherine G. Griffith, 91, of Grove House, 436 Old W. Creek Rd, Emporium and formerly of 201 W. Fifth Street died at The Grove House, on Sunday morning. (December 4, 2011)

She was born November 30, 1920 in Sterling Run a daughter of the late Grant and Fannie Terriberry Hart.

On March 4, 1939 in Williamsport she married the late Charles Griffith.

Mrs. Griffith retired from Sylvania in 1982 with over 25 years of employment. She was a member of the Emporium Senior Center, where she was a volunteer and also volunteered for the Food Pantry for many years. She enjoyed playing Bingo and going to Casino's.

Daughter: Leona Knarr, Bowling Green, FL

Visitation will be at the Barnett Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday from 4-6 PM. with the funeral service to follow at 6:00 PM with Rev. Gary Atkinson, Pastor, First United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in the Newton Cemetery, Emporium

My condolences to the family. Sarah, next door to me, Mary Ellen, and all the others. Kate is one more from the huge family of Griffiths who have been in my life since my sister Rose married into the family in 1937. We've missed her at the Senior Center as well as those great garage sales she loved so much.
