Leoda Smith Obituary

Leoda M. Smith, 88, of 372 E. Allegany Ave., Emporium died at Elk Regional Health Center in St. Marys on Thursday (February 17, 2011) afternoon.
She was born August 14, 1922 in Sykesville a daughter of the late Charles and Tursia Toy LaBorde. On July 4, 1954 in St. James Catholic Church, Driftwood she married the late George Smith.
Leoda retired from Sylvania where she worked for many years. After retirement she worked at Olivett's in the deli for several years. She was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church, K of C Christabelle Club, Moose, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Sinnamahoning Sporsman and May Hollow Sporsman Clubs. She enjoyed crochetting items for her family and friends.

7 Grandchildren: Hunter, RaeAnn, Heather Laura, Wade, Nicole & Jayanna

Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at the St. Mark Catholic Church, 235 East Fourth Street, Emporium on Saturday (February 19, 2011) at 1:00 PM with Rev. Paul S. Siebert, Pastor, as Celebrant.
Visitation will be at the Barnett Funeral Home on Friday from 6-8 PM.
Burial will be in the Huntley Cemetery, Huntley, PA
