Nancy M. Umbenhauer, 78, of 15 Oak Grove Lane, Emporium died at Elk Regional Health Center, St. Marys on Tuesday, (December 27, 2011) afternoon.
She was born December 22, 1933 in Emporium a daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Stumpff Rutz.
On July 4, 1953 at Camp Atterbury, Indiana she married the late Robert W. Umbenhauer.

Mrs. Umbenhauer garduated from Emporium High School in the class of 1951 and the Bradford School of Nursing in the class of 1954. She retired from Guy and Mary Felt Manor, where she worked from 1971 to 2001.  She was the nursing supervisor and later became the adminstrator and held that position for many years. Early in her career she worked for Dr. Joseph Blackburns office, at Sylvania and several other facilities. She had been a member of the former Guy and Mary Felt Manor Auxilliary.

Parents: Charles and Margaret Stumpff Rutz
Husband: Robert W. Umbenhauer who died April 2, 1990
Granddaughter: Rebecca Umbenhauer
2 Sisters: Betty Higgins and Rose Kalisz

Visitation will be at the Barnett Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-7 PM.

Funeral Service will be held at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Rock Pifer, Pastor, Free Metholist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in the Newton Cemetery, Emporium.
