Ross E. Anderson, 90, of 457 E. Second St., Emporium, PA died at Guy & Mary Felt Manor, Emporium on Wednesday (October 21, 2009) afternoon. He was born May 31, 1919 in DuBois a son of the late James and Kitty Plyler Anderson. On August 17, 1946 in St. Mark Rectory he married Margaret Zito Anderson, who Survives.
Mr. Anderson and his wife celebrated their 63rd anniversary in May. He graduated from Sandy Township High School in the class of 1937 and from DuBois Business College in 1948. He was employed at Sylvania, GTE & North American Philips for over 35 years. He
served with the US Army Air Force from 1942-1945 as a second Lieutenant Bombadier & Eighth AirForce 447 BLGLH 708 Squadron. He was a member of the American Legion Olkosky-Jessop Post 194, Emporium and the Miller-Raffaele Post 6221 VFW.

Funeral Service will be held at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium on Saturday (October 24, 2009) at 12:00 Noon with Rev. James Eastman, Pastor, Abundant Life Tabernacle, officiating. A Military Service will be accorded by the Cameron County Memorial Detail.
Visitation will be at the Barnett Funeral Home on Saturday morning from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 12:00 Noon.
Burial will be in the St. Mark Catholic Cemetery, Emporium.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Cameron County Memorial Detail, c/o VFW, 427 E. 3rd St., Emporium, PA 15834
