Thomas C. Simms, 68, of 128 Simms Lane, Austin, PA died at Elk Regional Health Center, St. Marys on Tuesday (May 22, 2012) afternoon.

He was born July 27, 1943 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Cyril and Mary Grimes Simms.
On July 23, 1966 in St. Mark Catholic Church, Emporium he married Grace Vroman Simms, who Survives.
Mr. Simms graduated from Austin High School in the class of 1961. He was an electrician with Sylvania in Emporium for over 20 years. He retired from GKN where he worked for many years. Tom had been a licensed gunsmith and built many guns over the years. He was and avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.

There will be No Visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at the Barnett Funeral Home 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium on Tuesday (May 29, 2012) at 5:00 PM with Rev. Rock Pifer, Pastor, Free Metholist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in the St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery, Austin, PA
 
Memorial Contributions may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
