Anna Russell

Anna Marie (Snyder) Russell was born to the late Charles I. and Jennie (Zelenz) Snyder on October 25, 1931 in the Renovo Hospital in Renovo, PA. She left this earth to be with her Lord in the early morning hours of Friday, December 21, 2018 in Manley Hot Springs, AK. She graduated from Bigler Twp. High School in Madera, PA in the class of 1949. Anna worked a short time at the Cigar Plant in Philipsburg, PA, a few years at the Airplane and Marine plant in Hyde City, PA. The remainder of her working years was at the Houtzdale and Emporium Sylvania plants, ending in 1973 when she quit Sylvania in Emporium, PA to move to Alaska. She married Ernest C. Russell in the First Methodist Church in Emporium, PA on November 4, 1972. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest C. Russell on June 26, 2014, her parents, brother Chuck Snyder, brother-in-law Andrew Vanderwall, nephew Terry Lessig, Sister-in-law Carol Perusich and brother-in-law Jim Perusich. Surviving are a sister, Mary Vanderwall of Phoenix, AZ, sister-in-law, Sandy Snyder of Philipsburg, PA, brothers-in-law, Terry Russell (Bea) of Manley Hot Springs, AK and Jim Russell of Emporium, PA, 7 nieces, 4 nephews and 5 cousins. She was a member of the Manley Christian Fellowship in Manley Hot Springs, AK. A graveside service will be held at the Newton Cemetery next to her beloved husband, Ernest C. Russell on Friday, January 4, 2019 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Joseph Short, First United Methodist Church, officiating.
