Corinne Nitsche Obituary

Corinne F. Nitsche, 95, of 40 W. Fifth St., Emporium, PA died at Guy & Mary Felt Manor, Emporium, PA on Wednesday morning (April 3, 2019). She was born October 23, 1923 in St. Marys, PA a daughter of the late Henry and Evelyn Walker Snyder. Mrs. Nitsche married her first husband Carl O. Brown on Sept. 27, 1941 at the Sacred Heart Rectory in St. Marys. He died April 25, 1970. On June 30, 1973 in Emporium she married the late Charles L. Nitsche. He passed away on Nov. 18, 2006.

She worked for over 21 years at the former Holloway Tool Company and later for Emporium Specialties until her retirement in 1988. She was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church. She enjoyed her grandchildren and playing bingo.

Corinne is survived by two daughters, Diana Grant, Sugargrove, PA and Darlene (Donald) Levin, Busti, NY; two sons, George (Judy) Brown and Alvin (Marilyn) Brown, both of Emporium; a step-children, David, Paula and Lori; sixteen grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren and twelve great great grandchildren; several and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, first and second husband she was preceded in death by her step granddaughter, Deb Fisher; two sisters, Verda Adamson and Sarah Snyder and a brother, Lyle Snyder.

There will be No Visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be Celebrated at St. Mark Catholic Church, 235 East Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Saturday (April 27, 2019) at 10:00 AM with Rev. Paul S. Siebert, Pastor, as Celebrant. Burial will be in the St. Leo Catholic Cemetery, Ridgway, PA Memorial Contributions may be made to the Emporium Senior Center, 213-1/2 South Maple Street, Emporium, PA 15834 or to the Guy & Mary Felt Manor, 110 East 4th Street, Emporium, PA 15834.
