John J. Anzinger

John J. Anzinger, 86, of Elk Towers, St. Marys, PA formerly of Weedville died at Elk Haven Nursing Home, St. Marys, PA on Tuesday (August 14, 2018) morning. He was born December 9, 1931 in St. Marys, PA a son of the late John and Florentina Foster Anzinger. On May 31, 1958 in Tyler, PA he married the late Margaret Fox Anzinger.

Mr. Anzinger graduated from St. Marys High School & from the Williamsport Technical School. He retired from the Benetts Valley School where he worked for many years. He had been a member of the George Wagner Lodge #639 of the F. and A.M., the Coudersport Consistory and the Jaffa Shrine in Altoona. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church.

He is survived by a daughter, Donna Aloi and her husband Chuck, St. Marys; one granddaughter, Jami Aloi, Pittsburgh, one brother, Joseph Anzinger and his wife Rita, St. Marys; and two sisters, Jane Shine, St. Marys and Coletta Westover, Ridgway. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a daughter, Darlene Simbeck who died Oct. 7, 2003, three brothers, William "Spike", Quintin & Herman Anzinger; five sisters, Martha Kennedy, Rita Miller, Twin sisters Celine Lundy & Theresa Bonfardine & F. Agatha Wilson.

There will be No Visitation. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, St. Marys, PA on Thursday (August 16, 2018) at 2:00 PM with Rev. Michael Gabler, O.S.B., Pastor, as Celebrant.
