Lois E. Coppersmith

Lois E. Coppersmith, 94, of 96 W. 7th St., Emporium, PA died at Pinecrest Manor, St. Marys, PA Friday morning (June 28, 2019). She was born November 2, 1924 in Coudersport, PA a daughter of the late Roscoe Riley and Hazel Mae Toombs Yentzer. On August 28, 1956 in Emporium she married the late John LeRoy Coppersmith. Mrs. Coppersmith graduated from Coudersport High School. She attended College in Corning, NY and later worked at the Coppersmith Furniture Store when she married in 1956. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Emporium and the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter #15, Smethport, PA. She is survived by daughter, Judith Purnell, Mount Joy, PA; daughter, Janet (John) Brechtel, San Diego, CA; daughter, Mary Patricia Ward, Fallbrook, CA; daughter, Sarah Brennan, Collegeville, PA; son, Donald Coppersmith, Philadelphia, PA; daughter, Carolyn (Jim Petersen) Coppersmith, Homosassa, FL; daughter, Grace (Ronald) Horning, Emporium; son, Bruce (Charlene) Coppersmith, Austin; daughter, Shirley (Ed) Burger, Williamsport; daughter, Rhonda Coppersmith, St. Marys; seventeen grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, brother, Eugene (Grace) Yentzer, Port Allegany; She was preceded in death by her Parents, husband and two sons, John LeRoy Coppersmith, Jr., and Frederick in infancy; three son-in-laws, Dick Ward, David Brennan and Paul Purnell, three brothers, and one sister. Visitation with Video Tribute will be at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Tuesday from 6-8 PM. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday (July 3, 2019) at 11:00 AM with Rev. Joseph Short, Pastor, officiating.
