Mary C. Ives

Mary C. Ives, 76, of 118 W. 6th St., Emporium, PA died at UPMC Cole, Coudersport, PA on Friday morning (December 13, 2019) following a lengthy illness. She was born September 7, 1943 in St. Marys, PA a daughter of the late W. Alvin Klees and Catherine Schlimm Klees Hanscom. On August 13, 1966 in Fort Gordon, GA. she married Donald Ives, who survives.

Mary worked as a hairdresser and in child care. Mary was talented in all areas of arts and crafts. She especially enjoyed painting and decorating her home for Christmas. She loved animals and often took in rescue pets. She was a very kind and gentle person.

In addition to her husband she is survived by a son, Jeff Ives, Lawrenceville, Georgia; two sisters, Anne Farber, Centre Hall; Leslie (Dennis) Stepanik, San Antonio, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, W. Alvin Klees and Catherine Schlimm Klees Hanscom.

Mass will be Celebrated at St. Mark Catholic Church Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 11:00 AM.

Memorial Contributions can be made to the charity of the donors choice. Burial will be in the St. Mark Catholic Cemetery, Emporium, PA
