Michael Bartlett

Michael S. Bartlett, 32, recently of St. Marys and formerly of Emporium, died unexpectedly at his home on Monday, October 15, 2018.

He was born on March 9, 1986, in Ridgway, a son of Sherry Gray Leydig of Emporium and Anthony Bartlett, Sr., of Galax, VA.

Mick was a lifelong resident of the area and worked at PSM Brown Co. in Emporium for the past several years. He greatly enjoyed fishing and working on small engines and automobiles. His greatest joy was his two sons, and he especially enjoyed taking his son on tractor rides.

In addition to his mother and step-father, Sherry and Timothy Leydig of Emporium, and his father and step-mother, Anthony and Susan Bartlett of Galax, VA, he is survived by two sons, Mason Bartlett and Zaidyn Bartlett. He is also survived by a brother, Anthony “TJ” Bartlett and his wife Nicole of Roanoke, VA, a sister, Air Force TSSG Ashley Bartlett of Goldsboro, NC, two step-sisters, Crystal Goss and Tabitha (Matt) Jerson, both of St. Marys, by his maternal grandmother, Emma Gray of Montgomery, PA, as well as by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Dorence “Doc” Gray, his paternal grandparents, Luther and Ova Bartlett, his step-grandparents, John and Dorothy Leydig, and by a special uncle, Jake Gray.

A Memorial Service for Michael S. Bartlett will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 19, 2018 at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium, Pa 15834 with Rev. Rock Pifer officiating.

Friends and family will be received at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
