Michael E. Hallowell

Michael E. Hallowell, 49, of 51 E. 4th St., Apt 202, Emporium, PA died at his residence on Wednesday afternoon (December 5, 2018). He was born February 24, 1969 in St. Marys, PA a son of the late Willard T. and Judith Wennin Hallowell. Michael served with the US Marines after high school. He was an avid Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Phillies fan. He had worked as a die setter for several local powder metal companies. He was a member of the Christabelle Club, the VWF and the Moose Lodge in Emporium. He is survived by a son, Michael J. Hallowell, Emporium; one daughter, Brianna S. Hallowell, Emporium; two step-sons, Julien M. Bolin, Emporium; and Chase C. Hernandez, Gettysburg; two grandchildren, Olivia and Jordan Amell; two brothers, David W. "Bucket" Hallowell, Emporium and Matthew (Heather) Hallowell, New Windsor, NY; one sister, Debra D. Hallowell, Emporium; Fiancé, Dana Grovanz, Emporium; Close friend and caregiver, Donna Burnside, Emporium. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald E. Hallowell, sister-in-law, Kimberly Hallowell; maternal grandparents, Ben and Anna Mae Wennin; paternal grandparents, Emerson and Olive Hallowell. There will be No Viewing. Relatives and friends are invited to Share in a Time of Remembrance at the Miller-Raffaele Post #6221, VFW, 427 East Third Street, Emporium, PA on Saturday (December 8, 2018) from 1:00-4:00 PM.
