Pearl E Vought, 92, of 534 E. Allegany Ave., Emporium, PA died at the Guy & Mary Felt Manor, Emporium, PA on Sunday (January 13, 2019) night following a lengthy illness. She was born February 8, 1926 in Erie, PA a daughter of the late Gustave and Ruth DePew Hagman. On June 12, 1950 in Wesleyville, PA she married the late Charles E. Vought who preceded her in death in 1999.
Pearl and her husband Charley owned and operated Charley's Friendly Tavern in Emporium for many years.
She is survived by a daughter, Barbara (Stephen) Ostrum, Emporium; two grandchildren: Philip Vought and Rhonda Vought; three great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Edward Paul Vought who died in 1975 and a sister, Beulah Stevens.
There will be No Visitation. A memorial service will be held at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Monday (January 21, 2019) at 11:00 AM with Rev. Joseph Short, Pastor, First United Methodist Church, officiating.
