Ronald Uber Obituary

Ronald J. "Joe" Uber, 76, of 7775 Route 120, Emporium, PA died at Penn Highlands Elk, St. Marys, PA on Tuesday (January 29, 2019) night He was born February 12, 1942 in St. Marys, PA a son of the late Edith Vera Uber.

Ron graduated from Cameron County High School. He served in the US Army Reserve with Battery B, 4th Howitzer Br., 92nd Artillery Army Reserve Unit. He was a truck driver most of his life driving for various companies before retiring from City Transfer. Ron enjoyed being outdoors especially spending time on his John Deere Tractor and being with his pet dog Bella. He was a former member of the Emporium Fire Department.

Ron is survived by two sons, William (Mary Lee) Uber, and Daniel Uber, both from Emporium; two daughters, Molly (Gary) Owens, Summerville, SC and Melissa (Eddie) Maxwell, Evans, CO; eight grandchildren, and his Companion, Barbara Masteller, Emporium. He was preceded in death by his step father and mother, Gerald Cato and Edith Vera Uber; former wife, Sally Mason; his twin brother, Donald Edward Uber and a special friend, Diane Bon.

The family will receive friends at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. 4th St., Emporium, PA on Friday from 4-7 PM. Because of his love of John Deere green, all are encouraged to wear something green. Memorial Service will be held at the Deeper Waters Ministries, 37 West Fifth Street, Emporium, PA on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 11:00 AM with Rev. James Eastman, Pastor, officiating. A military service provided by the Cameron County Memorial Detail will follow. Burial will be in the Moore Hill Cemetery, Emporium, PA.
