Adeline M. Burkhouse

Adeline M. Burkhouse, 96, of Old West Creek Rd., Emporium, PA, and Bluffton, SC, passed away at her daughter's residence in Bluffton on Tuesday morning (January 11, 2022). She was born August 29, 1925, in Toms River, New Jersey, a daughter of the late Philip and Nancy Messina Liuzzo. On November 5, 1944, in Toms River, NJ, she married the late Robert Burkhouse.

Adeline was a member of various local organizations including the First Presbyterian Church, the Emporium Senior Center, and Eastern Star, and she had been an active member of the community throughout her life. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by a son, Philip (Mary) Burkhouse, Emporium; three daughters, Ann (George) Capuzello, Bluffton, SC; Alys Lynn (Phil) Otten, Cape Coral, FL; Susan (George) Alloe, Emporium; eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Nicolini, Toms River, NJ.

Adeline was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bob, and a brother, Philip Liuzzo.

Funeral services will be held later at the convenience of the family.
