Celine F. Jewart, 71, of Cowley Hill Rd., Austin, PA, passed away at Olean General Hospital, Olean, NY, on Monday morning (September 19, 2022). She was born July 21, 1951 in Warren, PA, a daughter of the late George W. and Shirley A. Hilkirk Cunningham.
Celine graduated from Warren High School and spent most of her life living on top of Cowley Hill just outside of Austin. She managed a craft shop for many years and used her artistic talents to create a bevy of handmade treasures such as stained glass lamps and blankets that now fill the households of many family and friends. When she wasn’t keeping the books for the family logging business, Celine focused much of her time and energy on her family and spent countless hours supporting each and every endeavor ranging from sporting events to birthday parties. She was selfless to a fault and would do whatever she could to help those around her, never asking for anything in return. In addition to spending time with family, she enjoyed reading, camping, Jeopardy, wine, and the beach.
Celine is survived by her husband of 46 years, Alfred A. Jewart; two sons, Corey J. Jewart (Angela), Aspers, PA and Cody A. Jewart (Olivia), Emporium; three grandchildren: Giuliana, Grayson, and a baby to be; a sister, Kathleen Shattuck (Rodger), N. Warren; brother, David Cunningham, Michigan; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog Tazz.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, John P. and William Cunningham.
Services were held privately. There will be no visitation.
