Christine "Chris" Kio

Christine “Chris” L. Kio, 63, of Emporium, PA passed away at her residence on Friday, September 23, 2022 early morning. She was born June 1, 1959 in Cleveland, Ohio, a daughter of the late Robert and Corinn Bartelheim Kio.

After starting work at age 13, she was an entrepreneur and former owner of the In-Between Restaurant in Coudersport, PA and the Sizerville Inn in Sizerville, PA. After many various jobs and life experiences, she retired her working career earlier this year at Keystone Automatic Technology. She loved her big family gatherings, outdoor adventures like horse back riding, weekends at the dirt race track, and her arts and crafts. She was a loyal member of the Emporium Moose Lodge #368 for 19 years as well as the VFW and enjoyed her karaoke nights. 

She is survived by her honey and best friend, Jeff Eckert, Emporium; as well as her children: son, Cory Postlewait (Meegan), Georgia; daughter, Somer Williams (Jonathan Brown), Annville, PA; daughter, Amber Lloyd (Eric), Port Allegany; daughter, Emily Gehrlein (Chad), Erie; and son, Ty-Del Green (Megan Fochtman), Port Allegany; ten grandchildren: Brandon, Caden, Dylan, Chandler,  Candyce, Conner, Hunter, Cayle, Lanie, and Chad Jr “CJ"; five great grandchildren: Laylah, Jade, Lincoln, Brynlee and Koraly; two brothers, Larry Kio (Ginny), Tennessee; and John Kio (Jenny), Colorado; two sister-in-laws, Donna Kio and Ceil Kio; best buddy, “Snook"; and her beloved puppy dog, “Charlie”. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Michael and Robert Kio, and long time furry companion, “Buddy”. 

At her request there will be no service or visitation.
