David "Archie" Robinson Obituary

David J. “Archie” Robinson, 73, of Emporium, PA, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday morning, July 15, 2026, following a brief illness.

Born on November 23, 1952, in St. Marys, PA, he was the son of the late Archie and Evelyn Sullivan Robinson.

Archie was a graduate of Cameron County High School and Williamsport Area Community College. A gifted contractor and carpenter, he dedicated his life to the building trades and later established his own woodworking shop, where he crafted beautiful custom moldings and cabinetry. His exceptional talent, creativity, and attention to detail were evident in every project he completed.

An avid outdoorsman, Archie enjoyed hunting with his faithful dog, Fargo, and spending time gardening alongside his good friends, Carl and Frank. He enjoyed working in his orchard and seeing the results of his labor. He and his beloved partner, Becky, enjoyed countless day trips together, and he especially loved riding his Victory motorcycle. One of the highlights of his adventures was riding to Sturgis, South Dakota. Archie also took great pride in introducing his nephews to Emporium and the construction trade, employing them for several summers and sharing with them both his skills and strong work ethic.

He is survived by his loving partner, Becky and son Chris; one sister, Beverly Dirvonas and her husband, Tom, of Windsor, Colorado; two nephews, Scott Dirvonas of Vail, Colorado, and Michael Dirvonas and his wife, Erin, of Fort Collins, Colorado; two great-nieces, Loren and Amanda Dirvonas; and two great-nephews, Max and Evan Dirvonas.

In addition to his parents, Archie was preceded in death by his faithful hunting companion, Fargo.

At Archie’s request, there will be no visitation. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, St. Marys, PA.

Memorial Contributions, if desired, may be made to the Cameron County Clay Crushers (Youth Trap Team), 904 Rich Valley Road, Emporium, PA 15834.
