Debra A. Murray, 57, of 956 Murrays Mountain Rd., Emporium died at Elk Regional Health Center, St. Marys on Monday (September 12, 2011) afternoon following a brief illness. She was born August 3, 1954 in DuBois a daughter of the late Frederick and Mary Lou Reitz Jackson.
On September 28, 1980 in Bloomsburg she married Erwin L. Murray, Jr., who survives.
Mrs. Murray graduated from Cameron County High School in the class of 1972. She had worked at Pennsylvania Pressed Metals in Emporium, PA then became a proud homemaker to raise her children. Deb then returned to work at Adelphia in Coudersport, PA to help put her girls through college. In 2005 she retired from Adelphia. She loved sewing, knitting sweaters, making quilts for many people, crafting, camping, the beach, and hunting. Deb enjoyed making others happy.

One Granddaughter Samantha Cornwall, Pottsgrove, PA
Brother: Fred Jackson and his wife Sarah, Emporium, PA.
Two Half-sisters: Buffy Jackson and Jodie Fike, Erie, PA.
Preceded in Death By
Parents: Fredrick and Mary Lou Reitz Jackson
Sister: Jean Pugh who died April 29, 2010
There will be No Visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church 205 East Fourth Street, Emporium on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 1:30 PM with Rev. Philip W. Sanders, Pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in the Newton Cemetery, Emporium
