Doris M. (LaPolt) Britton

Doris M. Britton, 84, of 1068 Britton Rd., Emporium, PA passed away at Penn Highlands Elk, St. Marys, PA on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 morning. She was born November 15, 1937 in Emporium, PA a daughter of the late Howard S. and Edna Lattin LaPolt. She married the late Charles C. Britton.

Doris worked her whole life as a homemaker. She was a passionate reader. She loved planting flowers and tending to them each year.

She is survived by a son, Tim Britton, Emporium; three daughters, Karen Hutton (Tom), Emporium; Nancy Haight (John), Mt. Jewett; Robin Lyon, Farrell, PA; seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren; a sister, Etta Gee, Dunkirk, NY.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Louise Britton; a grandson, David Hutton; three brothers, William, Albert "Shotgun" and Sanford LaPolt; four sisters, Edith Smith, Dorothy, Mary and Alice Lapolt

There will be no visitation. Services will be private with the family at the Barnett Funeral Home.

Burial will be in the Newton Cemetery, Emporium, PA
