Edna M. Kamats

Edna M. Kamats, 88, of St. Marys, PA formerly of Plank Road Hollow, Emporium, PA passed away peaceful at Pinecrest Manor in St. Marys, PA on Sunday evening (August 20, 2023). She was born May 23, 1935 in St. Marys, PA a daughter of the late Orlan and Edna English Devling. On July 10, 1953 in Hagerstown, MD she married the late Paul J. Kamats.

Edna worked at Cameron Manufacturing and then for the Guy and Mary Felt Manor and later in Home Health Care from where she retired. She was active in the Emporium Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and as a fire police. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by daughter, Donna Kamats, DuBois; daughter, Ellen (Dale) Griffith, Emporium; daughter, Helen Kamats, Emporium; son, Wayne (Ilene) Kamats, Emporium; daughter, Cora Kamats, Emporium; son, Paul Kamats, Batavia, NY; 16 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her step mother, Frances English Devling and a granddaughter, Nakia Foley,

At her request there will be no service or visitation.

Burial will be in the St. Mark Catholic Cemetery, Emporium, PA
