Ferne L. McKimm

Ferne L. McKimm, 88, of 9786 Route 120, Emporium, PA died at Penn Highlands Elk, St. Marys, PA on Wednesday morning (May 1, 2019). She was born in Howard Siding on September 14, 1930 a daughter of the late James and Thelma Norton Kephart. On March 10, 1950 in Castle Garden Church she married Thomas McKimm, who survives.

Mrs. McKimm graduated from the former Emporium High School. She enjoyed cooking, baking and watching wildlife. She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons, Thomas (Kay) McKimm, Emporium and James (Karen) McKimm, Rock Springs, WY; five grandchildren and several great grandchildren; Step-sister, Patricia Kroskey, Monaca, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Monday (May 6, 2019) at 12:00 PM with Rev. James R. Horton, Jr., Pastor, First Baptist Church, officiating. Visitation will be at the Funeral Home one hour prior to the Service.

Burial will follow in the Newton Cemetery, Emporium, PA
