Florence Heitzenrater

Florence A. Heitzenrater, 97, of Ninety Six, SC formerly of East Allegany Ave., Emporium, PA passed away at NHC Healthcare, Greenwood,, SC on Wednesday afternoon (July 14, 2021). She was born April 29, 1924 in Albion, PA a daughter of the late Charles and Sarah Manners Wagner. On November 8, 1944 in Punxsutawney, PA she married the late John W. Heitzenrater.

Florence was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church and the Emporium Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Florence survived by three sons, Ronald (Cathy) Heitzenrater, Greenwood, SC; Arnold (Ann) Heitzenrater, Coudersport; Roger (Arleen) Heitzenrater, Ninety Six, SC; two daughter-in-laws, Pricilla Heitzenrater, Emporium and Theresa Heitzenrater, Columbus, OH; fifteen grandchildren; fifty great grandchildren and thirteen great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she he was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Mae Heitzenrater in infancy, two sons, Jack "Kenny" and Gerald Heitzenrater.

The family will receive friends at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. 4th St., Emporium, PA on Tuesday (July 27th) from 10:00-10:45 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mark Catholic Church, 235 East Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Paul S. Siebert, Pastor, as Celebrant. Burial will be in the St. Mark Catholic Cemetery, Emporium, PA.
