George L. Lewis

George L. Lewis, 76, of Emporium, PA passed away at Guy & Mary Felt Manor, Emporium, PA on Monday morning (January 22, 2024) following a lengthy illness. He was born April 8, 1947 in St. Marys, PA a son of the late Lawrence and Mary Hornung Lewis.

George graduated from Cameron County High School and served with the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed trapping and being with his family.

He is survived by two brothers, Tony Lewis (Judy), and Steve Lewis (Joan), both of Emporium; four sisters, Anita "Jackie" Dutrey (Vernon), Lewisberry, PA, Joyce Dorsett, Muncy;  Mary Beth Coppersmith (Gordon), Emporium;  Jeannine Bailey (Allen "Opy"), Emporium along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by

A brother, Thomas Lewis and a sister, Donna Viola.

There will be no visitation and services will be held privately.

Burial was in the Rich Valley Cemetery, Emporium, PA
