Glenn R. Lyon

Glenn R. Lyon, Sr. age 89 of 115 Card Rd. Emporium, died Saturday evening at Pinecrest Manor in St. Marys following a brief illness. He was born March 28, 1927 in Emporium son of the late Claude E. and Irene A. (Dougherty) Lyon. He married Marge M. Main, who survives. He had resided in Emporium all of hid life and had served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and was a Veteran of WWII. He had been employed by Sylvania for 25 years.

Surviving besides his wife are the following children: Glenn R. (Joyce) Lyon, Jr. of Emporium, Shelia (Larry) Samick of St. Marys, Deb J. Main of Salem, Arkansas, Pamela J. Samick of St. Marys, David K. Lyon of Emporium, 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by 2 sons Eugene (Tuck) Lyon and Donald Lyon, 4 sisters Mary K. Myers, Frances I. Kunes, Elizabeth J. Beck, Margaret H. Lyon, 2 brothers John H. Lyon and Hugh R. Lyon.

A Memorial Service for Glenn R. Lyon, Sr. will be held at the convince of the family. There will be no Visitation. Memorials if desired can be made to the Donors choice. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Barnett Funeral Home, Inc.
