Obituary
Glenn P. Metzler, 65, of Johnsonburg Road, St. Marys, PA formerly of Emporium passed away at Clarion Healthcare & Rehab. Center, Clarion, PA on Monday morning (July 11, 2022). He was born June 21, 1957 in St. Marys, PA a son of the late Franklin Metzler, Jr. and Jane Minton Metzler.
Glenn had been an employee of the Dickinson Mental Health Center Inc. for 25 years. He had the title of “certified peer specialist.” His co-workers described him as a very dedicated worker who loved his Harley, scratch off lottery tickets and his guitar. He was very active in the institution of many of the programs at Dickinson Mental Health. He was co-founder of COPE (coalition of people empowered) drop-in center, he was the first certified peer specialist In Elk & Cameron counties and was involved in the “Wellness, recovery, action training facility.” He will be missed by his co-workers & clients alike.
Glenn is survived by a brother, David Metzler, Rossville, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be no visitation and services will be private. Burial will be in the Newton Cemetery, Emporium, PA
