Jay M. Price

Jay M. Price, 89, of Fairfax County, Virginia, passed away Monday morning (February 9, 2026) at Burke Health & Rehabilitation Center, Burke, Virginia. He was born October 3, 1936, in Oak Hill, West Virginia, a son of the late Jacques R. and Kathrine Murray Price.

Jay was a graduate of Oak Hill High School in West Virginia and later attended West Virginia University in Morgantown before entering the United States Air Force, where he proudly served his country. Following his military service, he was employed at the VA Hospital in Fairfax County, Virginia, from which he retired after many years of dedicated service. Jay loved going to the beach and would frequently go several times throughout the year. Jay was also an avid Walker walking approximately fifteen miles every day.

A quiet and simple man, Jay enjoyed a peaceful life. He had a fondness for automobiles and took great pride in caring for them, spending time each week meticulously detailing his cars.

He is survived by a sister, Kathy Glasl and her husband John of Emporium; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacques R. and Kathrine Murray Price and three brothers and two sisters.

In keeping with Jay’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services.

Burial will be in St. Mark Catholic Cemetery, Emporium, PA.
