Jean Streich

Regina "Jean" Streich, 91, of 40 W. Fifth Street, Emporium, PA died at her residence, Emporium, PA on Sunday morning (March 8, 2020). She was born September 23, 1928 in Austin, PA a daughter of the late Charles and Eva Mativiecz Norek. On June 11, 1949 in Austin, PA she married the late Herbert Russell Streich.

Jean graduated from Austin Area Schools in 1947. She retired from GTE Sylvania where she worked for many years. She was an active member of the St. Mark Catholic Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the C. D. of A. and Rosary Society.

Jean is survived by a son, Russell 'Rusty" Streich, Coudersport; daughter-in-law, Kathi Snyder Streich, St. Marys ; three grandchildren: Jason Streich, Hilary Streich Andel and Ricky Streich; seven great grandchildren: Tod, Chelsey, Brady, Reilly, Kelby, Kolby Andel, Zachary and one great great grandson, Wesley; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by A son, Richard Anthony Streich; daughter-in-law, Barbara McWilliams Streich; granddaughter, Renee L. Streich; three brothers, Michael, John and Stanley Norek; five sisters, Frances Dujenski, Betty Ludwig, Mary Ours, Helen Hardes, and Agnes Martin.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at the St. Mark Catholic Church, 235 East Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Saturday (March 14, 2020) at 11:00 AM with Rev. Paul S. Siebert, Pastor, as Celebrant. The family will receive friends at St. Mark Catholic Church on Saturday morning from 10:00 - 11:00 AM. Burial will be in the Portage Township Cemetery, Gardeau, PA
