Judith C. Martin, 81, of Emporium, PA passed away at her residence Emporium, PA on Wednesday afternoon (September 18, 2024), following a lengthy illness, with her husband by her side.
She was born September 16, 1943 in Pittsburgh, PA a daughter of the late Albert and Mariann Tippet Wood and was born again 1956. On November 23, 1963 in Erie, PA she married James M. Martin, who survives.
Judy was a homemaker most of her life and for a short time drove school bus and the ATA bus. She was a member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, a long time president of Alliance Women and a lifetime member of the NRA.
Judy is survived by her husband and five children: James (Suzanne) Martin and their children Katherine and Sarah Martin; Jody (Jennifer) Martin and their children Jeanette (Joshua) Rowley, Julia (Lucas) Morian, and Jaclyn Martin; Jeffrey Martin and his children Sean O'Donnell, Noah Martin, Isaac Martin and Grace (Brent) Ewell; Jack (Lisa) Martin and their children Kayla (Kyle) Nielsen and Anna (Iolaus) Trowbridge; Jay (Tara) Martin and their children Joseph Martin and Laurel (David) Rogers. She is also survived by Bernice Baker and children, Jonathan Baker, Jordan Baker and Jessica (Jason) Venable; Leroy (Shelly) Sheetz and children Nicole, Karyn, Kaitlyn and Shyann. Along with 22 great grand children
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings, David, Wesley, Clifford, Gordon Wood and Mariann Marazza.
Visitation will be at the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, 1284 Sizerville Rd., Emporium, PA on Tuesday (September 24, 2024) from 11:00-11:45 AM followed by the service at 12:00 PM with Rev. Lionel Owen, Pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in the Newton Cemetery, Emporium, PA
