Lawanda "Pee Wee" Freer

Lawanda “PeeWee” Freer, 80, of DuBois, PA formerly of Emporium passed away peacefully at daughters residence in Emporium, PA on Friday (November 17, 2023) with her family her side. She was born October 12, 1943 in Sharon Township Potter County, PA a daughter of the late Lyle "Shorty" and Beatrice Snyder Freer. And on November 25, 1967, she married the late Charles Harvey, who passed away in 1984. She then was  married to Joseph Studer from 1986 to 2001.

Lawanda had worked at Sylvania, Motor Coil, and the Guy & Mary Felt Manor in Emporium. She moved to Dubois in 2001 where she went to DuBois Business College to become a certified nursing assistant. She worked for the DuBois Nursing Home until her retirement in 2006. She loves sitting around campfires during the weekend with her best friend and neighbor Von Carlin of DuBois. She loved cross stitching and going camping with her daughter.

She is survived by a daughter, Charlene Harvey (William Rhoads), Emporium; stepchildren, Vincent (Valerie) Harvey, and Mary Jo (Jody)  Harvey, both of McKeesport; Brett (Britt) Studer; Tonya (Shane) Washburn,  Janelle Studer (Kevin Schmucker), Kerri (Joe) Skillman, Eric Studer (Dawnyle); and grandchildren: Vincent Hart, Scott Snyder, Madison Evans, Gabbi Guynup, Aiden Studer, Gavin Studer, Morgan, Billotte, Erynn, Jordan, Aliyah, Connor, Payton, Ashton, Brooklyn, Katherine and  Cayden; great grandson, Jamison John Hart; two sisters, Betty Allen, and Charlene Coppersmith (Bruce), both of Emporium and a brother, Timothy Freer, Warsaw, NY;  nieces, Michelle (Tom) Whistle and Jamie Kamats; nephews, Joseph (Sloane) Allen, Jeremy (Roberta) Kamats

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a step sons, Jim Harvey and Brad Rodman; two sisters, Shirley Freer and Donna Hart and two brothers, Robert and Francis Freer; nephew, John F. Hart

A memorial service will be held December 6th at 5 PM at the Emporium fire hall

Burial will be in the Moore Hill Cemetery, Emporium, PA
