Lisa M. Bainey

Lisa Marie Bainey, 62, of Emporium, PA formerly of Karns City, PA passed away at UPMC Cole, Coudersport, PA on Friday night (July 16, 2021). She was born November 6, 1958 in St. Louis, Missouri a daughter of the late Warner Rucknagel and Patricia Schuette Sanich. On August 15, 2019 in Coudersport, PA she married James A. Reed, who survives.

Lisa had an extensive career as an educator and park manager with DCNR State Parks. She was a lover of the outdoors, an avid naturalist, and competitive canoeist. She loved hunting, fishing, gardening, scuba diving, biking, hiking, and skiing. She enjoyed spending time with close friends and family. Lisa was a member of the United States Canoe Association, National Audubon Society, Pennsylvania Parks And Forest Foundation, Bucktail Watershed Association, and The Rotary Club Of Emporium.

Lisa is survived by her husband James A. Reed; a daughter, Katherine (Manuel) Kiefer, Minchsmunster, Germany; a son, Ryan (Cassie) Bainey, Akron, OH; one granddaughter, Amelia; several nieces and nephews; two sisters, Julie McCrea, Butler, PA; Antoinette (Mike) Sanich, Kittaning, PA; one brother, Thomas (Lisa) Sanich, Kittaning, PA.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father Patricia Schuette Sanichand and Warner Rucknagel and her beloved dog Abby.

A Memorial Gathering will be held by the family at the Sinnemahoning Wildlife Center, Sinnamahoning State Park, Austin, PA on Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 12:00-4:00 PM.
