Margaret E. Kondek

Margaret E. Kondek, 91, of 423 W. Allegany Ave, Emporium, PA formerly of 583 Rich Valley Road died at Penn Highlands Elk, St. Marys, PA on Wednesday night. (October 10, 2018) She was born April 16, 1927 in Ridgway, PA a daughter of the late John and Anne Gallagher Quigley. On April 12, 1958 in Berea, OH she married the late Joseph Kondek who died Jan. 1, 2002, Mrs. Kondek graduated from Emporium High School in the class of 1945. She retired from the Navy Audit Office in Cleveland Ohio where she worked for over 17 years. She was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church, C. D. of A. and the Rosary Society. She loved and enjoyed talking to many people. She is survived by a sister, Catherine "Kate" Pohl, Emporium and several Nieces and Nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Anne Ronen & Jane Blackford, Visitation will be at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. 4th St., Emporium, PA on Friday from 4-7. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Mark Catholic Church, 235 East Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Saturday (October 13, 2018) at 10:00 AM with Rev. Jeff Noble, as Celebrant. Burial will be in the St. Mark Catholic Cemetery, Emporium, PA Memorial Contributions may be made to the Emporium Volunteer Fire Department, 421 N. Broad St., Emporium, PA 15834
