Mary H. Whiting

Mary H. Whiting, 85, of 40 West Fifth Street, Emporium, PA passed away unexpectedly at Penn Highlands Elk, St. Marys, PA on Monday morning (December 28, 2020). She was born March 8, 1935 in Emporium, PA a daughter of the late Fred and Addie Belle Piper Ritchey. Her first husband was the late Frank Zito. On June 30, 1967 in St. Mark Catholic Church she married the late Ted Whiting.

Mary is survived by two sons, Michael "Mick" (Kim) Zito, Douglasville, GA; Mark (Lori) Zito, Marietta, GA; two daughters, Gina Zito (Lynn Stickles), Penn Yan, NY; Mary Grace (Gary) Olay, Emporium; daughter-in-law, Denise Zito, San Jose, CA; 6 grandchildren: Anthony, Frank, Nicholas, Kelly, Robin and Beth; 9 great grandchildren: Kira, Amelia, Jacob, Elijah, Sofia, Finn, Bella, Lucca and Carsen; two sisters, Joan Housler, Emporium and Ann Harvey, Kersey.

In addition to her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by a son, Frank "Jerry" Zito.

She enjoyed going to breakfast at the Aroma with her friends and spending time with her family, including her special kids, Alison, Miranda, Ashlee, Whitney and Michael.

There will be No Visitation. Due to the pandemic a Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in the St. Mark Catholic Cemetery, Emporium, PA.
