Michael Mann Obituary

Michael A. Mann, 70, of Emporium and formerly of Lancaster, PA died at Guy & Mary Felt Manor, Emporium, Friday morning (October 11, 2019). He was born September 14, 1949 in Columbia, a son of the late Melvin A. and Lois Welsh Mann, Sr. He married Peggy Harbold, who survives. Michael and Peggy were married over 46 years.

He graduated from Columbia High School, Lancaster County, PA, in the class of 1967. After graduation he served with the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Mike retired in 2012 from CenturyLink, in Elizabethtown, PA after over 45 years of service working as a outside facilities technician for the phone company. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion Olkosky-Jessop Post 194, Emporium and Miller-Raffaele Post 6221 VFW, Emporium, PA.

In addition to his wife, Michael is survived by a son, George Michael Mann and daughter, Heather Lynn Mann both of Columbia, PA; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three sisters, Helen Watson, Delaware; Karen Colin, Columbia and Brenda Gillham, Mount Joy.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin A. Mann, Jr., and a sister, Lois Haubert.

At his request there will be no visitation or service.
