Norman G. Pickering

Norman G. Pickering, Sr., 73, of 111 W. Long Ave., Apt 5L, DuBois, PA, formerly of Driftwood, PA died at Penn Highlands DuBois on Monday afternoon (January 13, 2020). He was born June 6, 1946 in Renovo, PA a son of the late Clarence and Georgianna Saxton. On June 18, 1966 in Ridgway he married the late JoAnn Predko.

Mr. Pickering graduated from Cameron County High School in the class of 1965 and earned an associate degree in digital electronics from Cleveland Institute of Technology in 1987. He retired from GKN where he worked for over twenty-two years. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

Norman is survived by a daughter, Pamela (Kevin) Irwin, Emporium and a son, Norman "Gene" Pickering, Jr., Knox, PA; two grandchildren: Logan and Cameron Irwin; two brothers, Basil Buchannan, Emporium; and Clarence Pickering, Punxsutawney. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

The family will receive friends at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. 4th St., Emporium, PA on Sunday from 1-2 followed by the memorial service at 2:00 PM with Pastor Dave Hockey, officiating. Burial will be in the Newton Cemetery, Emporium, PA
