Paul E. Galford

Paul E. Galford, 73, of 144 Valley View Road, Emporium, PA died at UPMC-Altoona Hospital, Altoona, PA on Sunday (June 3, 2018) morning following a brief illness. He was born October 15, 1944 in Marlinton, West Virginia a son of the late Paul M. and Virginia M. Gum Galford. On June 7, 1969 he married Nancy Vanatta who survives.

Paul was a retired logger. He and his brother owned and operated the Galford & Galford Logging Company. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and spending time with his family. He loved watching his grandchildren's sporting events. In addition to his wife Nancy he is survived by two daughters, Felicity Geelen, Emporium and Daphne (Randy) Garzel, Port Allegany; four grandchildren: Skylar Galford, Tre', Leah & Bree Garzel, one brother, Creig (Kathy) Galford, Ware, MA. in addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Joy Wenk and Kathy Galford.

Funeral Service will be held at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 2:00 PM with Rev. James R. Horton, Jr., Pastor, First Baptist Church, officiating. Visitation will be at the Funeral Home one hour prior to the Service. Burial will be in the Portage Township Cemetery, Gardeau, PA
