Renate Marianne Bierly

Renate Marianne Bierly, 76, of Emporium, Pennsylvania, passed away at UPMC Cole, Coudersport, PA, on Sunday afternoon (April 26, 2026) following a lengthy illness.

She was born January 23, 1950, in Kiel, Germany, a daughter of the late Ernst and Gertrude Nitsch Moeller. On September 22, 1973 in York, PA, she married William J. Bierly, who preceded her in death.

Renate enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, especially caring for her many cats, reading, shopping, and working on her cross-stitch embroidery.

She is survived by two sisters, Petra Phelps (Lawrence Lee) and Karin Fink (Gregory).

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. There will be no visitation.
