Ronald Barker, Jr. Obituary

Ronald C. Barker, Jr., 86, of 2584 Old West Creek Road, Emporium, PA died at Penn Highlands Elk, St. Marys, PA on Tuesday morning (September 1, 2020). He was born September 30, 1933 in Emporium, PA a son of the late Ronald C.and Theodosia Bowdish Barker, Sr. On April 27, 1957 at First Baptist Church, Emporium, he married Anna Dorothy Neyman, who survives.

Ron served with the US Army and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing especially with his family. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Emporium.

In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter, Barbara McGlumphy (Robert), Newport, RI; son, Ronald C. Barker, III (Bonita), Bradford; daughter, Joan Olszowy (Tom), Southampton, AL; three granddaughters and one grandson; a brother, William Barker (Georgia), Ridgway; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Neyman.

Visitation will be at the First Baptist Church, 424 N. Broad Street, Emporium, PA on Friday (Sept. 4, 2020) from 11:00 AM until the service at 12:00 PM with Rev. James R. Horton, Jr., Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Newton Cemetery, Emporium, PA.
