Memorial Service Sat. May 3rd at 3:00 PM Ronald L. Tompkins, 78, of 405 Spring Street, Emporium, PA died at UPMC-Hamot Medical Center, Erie, PA on Thursday (April 3, 2014) morning.
He was born November 28, 1935 in St. Marys, PA a son of the late Harvey and Margaret Bickmire Tompkins.
Mr. Tompkins graduated from Emporium High School and then from Williamsport Technical Institute with a degree in Electronics. Ron served with the US Air Force during the Korean War. Ron retired from Mountain View Bowling Alley where he worked for many years. He enjoyed gardening and working in his shop.

There will be No Visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service will be held at the Barnett Funeral Home 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Joseph Short, Pastor, First United Methodist Church, officiating. A Military Service will be accorded by the Cameron County Memorial Detail following the memorial service.
Burial will be in the Newton Cemetery, Emporium, PA
