Sophie M. Berry

Sophie M. Berry, 68, of 344 Valley View Rd., Emporium, PA passed away at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA on Monday morning (January 10, 2022). She was born April 4, 1953 in Brockport, New York a daughter of the late Robert Charles and Shirley Marguerite Olney Larnder. On October 22, 1999 in Emporium she married Gregory A. Berry, who survives. Sophie's first husband was the late William Austin.

Sophie was a homemaker for many years and later worked as a supervisor with Oak Manor in St. Marys until her retirement. She enjoyed camping and her camping friends, going for Ranger rides and rides through the mountains with her husband Greg and spending time on her computer. Most of all she enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Sophie is survived by her husband Gregory A. Berry; daughter, Heather (John) Belkowski, Clearfield; two sons, William "BJ" (Christy) Austin, Johnsonburg and Heath Austin, Emporium; four step-sons, Chad (Alex) Olay and Justin Bush both of Emporium; Scott Kinney, Clarion; George Dietz, Emporium; ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren; five sisters, Bonnie Skellen, Ridgway; Patricia Macullum, Cherry Tree, PA; Sheila Larnder, Weedville; Sheryl Gruesu, Kersey; Noreen Lewis, Erie; three brothers, Albert Larnder, Rochester, NY; Paul Larnder, Lyndon, NY and Alan Larnder, Ridgway.

In addition to her parents and first husband she was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence Larnder.
