Victor D. “Vic” Slagle, 73, of Emporium, PA, formerly of DuBois, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Thursday night, May 14, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Born November 29, 1952, in Alexandria, Virginia, a son of the late Ossroe J. and Laura J. (Bowser) Slagle. On March 5, 1977, in Emporium, he married Lori Nellis Slagle, who survives. Together they shared over 49 years of love, devotion, and cherished memories.
Vic enjoyed listening to music and spending time with his family, especially his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy throughout his life. He will be remembered for his love of family, quiet strength, and the special moments shared with those he loved most.
In addition to his loving wife, Lori, he is survived by two daughters, Trisha M. Bauer of Emporium and Vickie J. Slagle of Emporium; three grandchildren, McKaylan and Keith Bailey, Ty Bauer (Grace), and Logan Slagle (Dez); seven great-grandchildren, Aubrey Fry, Brantley Bailey, Damon Bailey, Kaison Gribble, Xander Bailey, Wesson Bailey, and Are’Hanna Slagle; and two sisters, Jan Gricks and Brenda Bortz, both of Penfield.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilbert and Eugene Slagle.
There will be no visitation, and services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
