Vivian M. Crum, 92, of Girard, PA formerly of Emporium, PA peacefully passed away in Erie, PA on Saturday evening (May 8, 2021). She was born October 17, 1928 in Johnsonburg, PA a daughter of the late James E. and Marie Fagley Mawn. On August 27, 1949 in Emporium she married the late John C. Crum. Vivian moved to Girard several years ago to be near her daughter and her family.
She had worked at many places including Sylvania/North American Phillips, Ogdens Pharmacy, Duby's Restaurant and had also served two terms as the Emporium Borough Tax Collector. She dedicated many years to the Emporium Little League, volunteered at the Emporium Senior Center and the Women of the Moose. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She Is survived by a son-in-law, William Haley, Edinboro, PA; daughter-in-law, Sharon Sanderson, White Lake, MI; four grandchildren: Justin (Kristy) Sanderson, Tiagum, Australia, Matthew (Emily) Haley, Grayling, MI, Kathryn (Eric) Haley, Grand Rapids, MI, Alexandra Sanderson, White Lake, MI; two great grandchildren: Lexi and Emily Sanderson, Tiagum, Australia; and a sister, Marilyn Carter, Dearborn, MI.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, John Sanderson and a daughter, Kathleen Haley; a brother, Robert Mawn and three sisters, Patricia Sapp, Betty and Catherine Mawn. There will be No Visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at the St. Mark Catholic Church, 235 East Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Saturday (May 15, 2021) at 10:30 AM with Rev. Paul S. Siebert, Pastor, as Celebrant. The Mass will streamed live on St. Mark Church Emporium facebook page.
Burial will be in the Newton Cemetery, Emporium, PA.
