William Anson Mason, 93, of 58 Mason Run Rd., Driftwood died at his residence on Friday evening (December 2, 2011)
He was born August 31, 1918 in Sterling Run a son of the late J. Wright and Nancy Spence Mason.
On January 1, 1941 at his home on the Mason farm he married Ruthanna Madalene Stimpson Mason, who Survives.
Mr. Mason graduated from the former Emporium High School. He was a farmer most of his life. He was also a truck driver working at Mallory Lumber for many years. Years ago he served as a Cameron County Commissioner. He served on the former Gibson Township School Board for over 25 years and later on the Cameron County School Board several for years. He was a member of the Sterling Run United Methodist Church all of his life.

Daughter: Sara "Sally" Novosat, St. Marys

and several nieces and nephews

Visitation will be at the Barnett Funeral Home on Monday from 6-8 PM.
Funeral Service will be held at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium on Tuesday (December 6, 2011) at 11:00 AM with Rev. Timothy Rogers, Pastor of Sterling Run United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in the Pine Street Cemetery, Sterling Run, PA
