Walter F. Frank

Walter F. Frank, 84, of Emporium, PA passed away at Pinecrest Manor, St. Marys, PA on Monday night (February 12, 2024). He was born June 18, 1939 in Linz, Austria a son of the late Anna “Omi" Frank. He was married in Austria and celebrated over 60 years of marriage on June 18th to Christa Platzer, who survives.

He retired from the Shurfine Food Mart in Emporium where he worked many years as a baker in the bakery and deli. He was a member of the Emporium Fire Department and the Endless Mountain Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife Christa, he is survived by two daughters, Silvia Moore and Monika Irwin, both of Emporium; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and a sister, Elfie.

He was preceded in death by his mother, a son and daughter, in infancy; a granddaughter, Krystina "Krys" Moore and a sister, Erika Lentz.

There will be No Visitation. A memorial service will be held at the Endless Mountains Methodist Church, 306 S. Spruce St, Emporium, PA on Saturday (February 17, 2024) at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dr. Andrew P. Spore, Pastor, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be mailed to Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. 4th St., Emporium, PA 15834 to help the family with expenses.
