Almeda H. "Medie" Woodward, 98, of Guy & Mary Felt Manor, Emporium, died at Elk Regional Health Center, St. Marys on Saturday (June 9, 2012) afternoon.
She was born April 16, 1914 in Fryburg, PA a daughter of the late William and Rose Ann Weaver Hook.
On August 17, 1939 in Kane, PA she married the late Thomas Woodward, Jr.
Mrs. Woodward graduated from Kane High School in the class of 1930. She worked, as a customer service representative, for National Fuel Gas for over 23 years. She was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church the C.D. of A. and the Emporium Senior Center. She enjoyed playing cards.

There will be No Visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at the St. Mark Catholic Church 235 East Fourth Street, Emporium, Pennsylvania
Tuesday (June 12, 2012) at 10:30 AM with Rev. Paul S. Siebert, Pastor, as Celebrant.
Burial will be in the Newton Cemetery, Emporium.

I loved Medie. She was a

I loved Medie. She was a devoted mother. I loved listening to her reminisce about when she was younger, about her work, her family, the CCC boys who came into town, taking the train from Kane to James City, etc. I will miss her greatly.

Sorry for your loss Tim. We always enjoyed talking and visiting with Meadie. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Tim, i am so very sorry for your loss. I loved taking care of your mother at the Manor Assisted living when she first came there and for the months after until I left. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your mom and any family of yours. May God give you the strength to get through this difficult time.
